Assistance League of Riverside is an all volunteer organization dedicated to clothing, comforting and educating the children of our community. With no paid staff, our members embrace the responsibilities and challenges of fundraising, programming and administration.
CARING AND COMMITMENT IN ACTION
Assistance League of Riverside, a 501(c)(3) corporation, was chartered in 1966 as the 37th chapter of Assistance League, a national organization with 120 chapters. In 2013-2014 over 200 Assistance League of Riverside volunteers worked more than 40,000 hours to fund our programs. All funds raised stay in our community. Together, we help children in need achieve a better quality of life.
HOW WE MAKE A DIFFERENCE
Assisteens is comprised of teens from 7th to 12th grades. Assisteens support Assistance League of Riverside with financial contributions, by working in the Thrift Shop and with time spent volunteering for philanthropic programs. Through their Children's Outreach program, the Assisteens Auxiliary gives monthly donations of educational and project supplies, as well as scholarship assistance, to the Carolyn E. Wylie Center for Children, Youth and Families.
